Please include your iPhone model, iOS version and the Puttster version from Settings → About, plus what you were doing when things went sideways. Puttster runs on iPhone with iOS 18 or later.
Keeping score
How do I keep score?
Tap New Round, add players, choose a course or a custom length, then Start Round. Tap a score for the highlighted player; the next player who hasn’t scored is picked for you. Use 10+ for a higher score and Clear to remove one. Tap Next Hole when everyone has a score.
Can I pause a round and come back later?
Yes. Tap the back arrow to pause. Your round is saved and appears on the Play tab with a Resume button, even if you close the app.
I entered a wrong score. How do I fix it?
During a round, tap any hole in the hole strip to go back and change it, or use the undo arrow. After a round, open it from History and tap Edit scores. Stats and Cups update automatically.
Courses and pars
Where do hole pars come from?
From a source-verified layout when we have one, from the course website when it publishes a scorecard, from pars other players confirmed (Community pars), or from your own paper scorecard, which you can scan or type in. Puttster never guesses a par; unknown holes stay blank until you set them.
What does “Confirmed by 2 players” mean?
Two different iCloud accounts shared exactly the same pars for that course. Pars shared by only one player aren’t shown to anyone else, so everything you see has been checked by at least two people.
Nearby courses won’t load.
Check that Location is allowed for Puttster (While Using the App) and that you have an internet connection, then try again. You can also search a city by name, or add the course you’re at with a map pin.
A course is missing or closed.
Add a missing course with a map pin from the course picker; it’s saved on your iPhone. For a closed course, open it and tap Report closed: Puttster hides it and opens Apple Maps so you can report it there. Settings → Hidden places brings it back.
Lock Screen and widgets
The Live Activity doesn’t appear on my Lock Screen.
In iPhone Settings → Puttster, make sure Live Activities is on. It starts when a round starts and ends shortly after you finish.
Puttster Pro
What do I get with Puttster Pro?
Skins, Match Play and 2 vs 2 team games, handicaps, the cinematic round recap, and five themes, each with a matching Home Screen icon. It’s a one-time purchase of $4.99 (US), not a subscription. Keeping score, courses, stats, Cups and widgets stay free.
Pro isn’t showing after a reinstall or on a new iPhone.
Open Puttster, go to Settings → Puttster Pro, and tap Restore at the bottom while signed in with the Apple Account that bought it.
Can my family use Pro too?
Yes. Puttster Pro supports Family Sharing, so one purchase covers everyone in your Family Sharing group.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your data
How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
An iCloud or computer backup of your iPhone includes Puttster’s data. You can also export a backup file from Settings → Export my data and keep it somewhere safe.
How do I delete my data?
Use Settings → Reset local data, or delete the app. To remove pars you shared with Community pars, email us with the course name.
